I had the best time at MamaWest and was completely looked after by Louis. Louis gave me the best haircut ever and was such a knowledgeable, empathetic and just all round lovely hairdresser. He gave me a haircut that my lazy butt can look after and it looks incredible! What a gem of an apprentice you have there. I felt completely comfortable as soon as I walked in and had the sense that I found a space that is truly inclusive, fun and safe. I honestly don't have the words to describe how incredible this place is, I haven't stopped gushing about it to anyone who will listen. Amazing work Mamawest!

My first visit to MAMAWEST and I’ll definitely be back! I was looking for a salon that would listen to me regarding my curly concerns and help me make my curls my best asset. Mission accomplished! LOVE WEST asked a lot of questions and really listened and my curls have looked fab for 4 days straight. Unheard of!

So happy I discovered MAMAWEST! Honestly the best haircut I've ever had—my curls are sitting perfectly which rarely happens in the past and the colour is stunning. I'm absolutely obsessed with my hair and can't wait to come back! Thankyou PUNKWEST and Team 🥰✨

Second time coming here and I had a great experience once again. I had my appointment with Honey West (Lewis) and he was warm throughout my experience. He spoke me through everything he was doing and offered his expertise when I asked questions. Overall, yet another great experience. Looking forward to my next appointment!

I absolutely love getting my hair done at Mamawest, especially with Tom! He is so nice and sweet, but beyond that, he is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely knows what he’s doing. I always have the best experience with him. The first time I went to Tom, he nailed the layered haircut I was looking for on the very first try. Since then, I’ve been coming back to him whenever I want my hair done, and I’ve always left super happy with the results. I recently got another haircut with Tom, and my mum liked it so much that she wanted him to do hers too, and Tom absolutely nailed her haircut as well! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Overall, my experience at Mamawest has always been amazing. The service is great, the atmosphere is lovely, and Tom is honestly the best. Definitely recommend! ❤️

I’ve had my haircut here twice now and I can honestly say it’s been the best experience I’ve ever had at a salon. Max is such a beautiful soul. He checked my pronouns, took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and delivered it perfectly. He also recommended products in a way that felt intentional and not like an upsell. The space itself is beautiful, welcoming and incredibly calming. As someone who is neurodivergent, the noise and sensory overload of hairdressers can be really triggering but I haven't felt that here. I genuinely felt nurtured and cared for throughout the entire experience. I finally got the mullet I’ve been asking for at other salons, where people seemed too hesitant to do something a little fun and wild. On top of that, I even left with festival recommendations! I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait for my next cut.

It literally was the best haircut ever haha. Everything from the cut to the wash and the massage(loved every bit of it) and the blow dry at the end was Perfect! Highly recommend!!!

maddi (punk west) is so lovely! i went in for a pretty huge transformation and they exhibited SO much care and consideration during the entire appointment. the consultation was so thorough, they were very friendly, and they explained each step of the process and what they were doing as they were doing it. they consistently asked if i was comfortable, and asked for my feedback about the cut as they were doing it. i felt very comfy and cared for and the cut was absolutely gorgeous!!

The haircut that I had with Tom was absolutely amazing, it was the haircut that my hair truly needed and I left feeling like a hot B*tch ✨! It was collaborative, I was professionally guided by him, we had fun, we had heaps of laughs. Was truly a terrific salon experience ✨❤️

I have been twice recently for a short layered haircut (think Bixie) and my experience has been perfect. It's great feeling good about your hair, and feeling trust in the stylist to get it right. Hope it stays affordable here
