Arrived on a Wednesday, during school holidays, as first stop on trip along the Great Ocean Road. Easy check in - via barstaff as reception was shut on our 7:15pm arrival - to a compact but neat and very clean room (#9). Given two drink tickets on check in. Place wasn't busy, ordered meals which came out in quick time. Chicken Schnitzel ($33) was fantastic (thick, tender and juicy), excellent chips and a bit of cos and radicchio leaf masquerading as "salad" (seems a common theme in recent reviews) and the gnocchi beef and pork ragu (Specials Board - $34) was excellent. Pub was wonderful - large outside beer garden which would be great during the day, pool tables, TAB, large bisto area and a family friendly room with several tables away from the main bar. It's a bit pricey but it is on a tried and true tourist route. I suspect this place might be a different beast on a weekend during summer when it's packed.

We had lunch on the deck overlooking Lorne. The sun was out. The drinks were cold, our meals were cooked beautifully (chicken snitz and prawn fish cake) views amaxing and the staff were friendly and helpful ! Prime location and great vibes

Ordered a bowl of chips and grilled fish, waited 45 minutes and then was told it would still be another 15 minutes. I got my money back, the young man at the bar was really understand. The two stars are for him . Outside dining has no blankets or heating. I do not recommend.
