Such a beautiful and fun venue. The drinks and staff are fantastic too
This place never seems to disappoint and doesn't get the credit it deserves. From the warm greetings at the door by Anne and the team to the service behind the bar, the staff make you feel like a regular from day one. Special mention to Zaid, who is always welcoming and friendly. After making my (fairly complicated) drink order just once, he memorised it, and now he starts making it the moment he sees me walk in. That kind of attention to detail is rare, and it's what keeps me coming back. The service makes it worth every dollar. A must-visit for friendly vibes and great nights out.
One of the best places in Sydney! A wonderful spot with a great atmosphere. I really enjoyed my visit and would happily come back. Highly recommended!
Just superb. One of the best bars in the southern hemisphere with a killer band of an extreme quality. If you haven't visited this place, you haven't been to Sydney. Forget the Opera House.
Amazing venue β€οΈ
The music, the vibes, the drinks, all on point Get a martini, definitely one of sydneys coldest πΈ
The vibe, the food, and obviously the drinks were amazing. My palate travelled all night long. Thank you again I will come back for sure !
Absolute vibes!
Great night, one of the only venues left in Sydney with a strict dress code. This makes a huge difference. The hosts are amazing.
Upon entry, there are a few stairs! When you reach the lofty heights its well-worth it. Grandeur of a softly lit palace room, with vibe that is smooth, and comfortable. Then you are greeted by Rob. You settled in, enjoy your taste and make friends. It's a beautiful thing.
The Press is definitely one of those places you visit for the atmosphere. The interiors are beautiful, with a sophisticated, moody feel, and the whole venue gets really lively as the night goes on. The live jazz doesnβt start until 9pm, which is when the place really starts to pick up and become much busier. Definitely worth timing your visit around that if youβre coming for the music. One thing I did find a little odd was the supposedly strict dress code, as we still saw a few people wearing casual clothes and jeans being admitted, so enforcement seems a little inconsistent. Drinks are definitely on the premium side, and while they offer some small nibbles, nothing particularly stood out food-wise. Iβd say youβre paying more for the setting and overall experience than anything else. Overall, a beautiful and atmospheric spot for a dressed-up night out. Iβd come back for the live jazz and ambience rather than the food.
Beautiful space with and chic aesthetic. Robert is a wonderful host.
Been here twice now and really rate it. Stunning interiors, but what I love most is how the vibe changes depending on when you go. Thursday was perfect for after work drinks, with Rob being such a charismatic host. Came back on a Friday and had such a fun night, with the house band/ DJ getting everyone on the dance floor and excellent service from the team there. Good crowd, great live music and plenty of room for a boogie without the tiny, sweaty club feel. Will be going back!
Beautiful place, you can chat and dance. A place to dress up, have interesting conversations. The only downside was the waitress that seemed annoyed at the guests and took over 1 h to bring a mocktail to my friend .
