I first had a holistic hair consultation with Kisa, who is very knowledgeable—I (un)learned a lot about how to best care for my curls. I then had a follow up cleanse, condition and style with Ned and ABSOLUTELY LOVE the results! My curls are so luscious now and it’s been a very long time since they looked this great! The appointment too was super informative—again, learned so much from him about what my hair needs to look stunning!

I am floored by how amazing my curl care education and experience was with Kisa. All my life I’ve suppressed my curls with damaging treatments and products to make it straight that I had just given up on trying to tame my hair, but Kisa completely flipped the narrative on how I can give my natural hair the love that it deserved. Not only was Kisa so incredibly attentive, and thorough in explaining every single step for what she was doing and why, and so patient with all the questions I had, but she made me feel so safe and seen with my hair journey — it was truly like a therapy session! I was lost for words on how amazing my hair looked that I had a good ugly cry at the end and I’ve never truly loved my curls this much. I have a newfound appreciation, confidence and love for my hair and I look forward to my next appointment already!

They genuinely care about teaching you how to take care of your hair, and they also offer very affordable products. Kisa is incredibly knowledgeable and talented. It was my first time visiting the salon and Steven gave me an amazing haircut. He truly helped me embrace my curly hair after fighting it for many years. Steven very patiently explained the entire process and educated me on how to style my own hair. He also was very warm and friendly. Im definitely returning.

We had the Curly Cut Transformation with Kisa for our 13 year old ahead of the first day of high school (stakes were high)! Kisa was absolutely phenomenal in balancing her expert opinion with managing client expectations. She made sure to know exactly what we wanted and didn’t want before starting the transformation. She was so meticulous with the cut and offered so much knowledge on hair care and routine. We absolutely loved the entire process and final result. We’ll be back in a few months and would highly recommend Kisa for all your curly hair needs!

Here's the review: **Ned at Crown Curls is the real deal.** I brought my daughter in for a curly cut and Ned went far beyond just a haircut. He took the time to actually teach her how her curls work and how to look after them herself, explaining the why behind every step in a way that clicked for a teenager. She left with a fantastic cut and, more importantly, the confidence to manage her hair on her own. What I appreciated just as much: zero pressure to buy anything. He walked us through the products and tools he'd recommend and what each one actually does, then left the decision entirely to us. Refreshing. Whether you're brand new to curly hair or you've been styling your own for years, you'll come away knowing more than you did walking in. We'll absolutely be back to Ned for all of my daughter's hair needs. Highly recommend.

What an amazing service. I learned so much from Steven that was genuinely useful in improving my hair routine and bringing out the best qualities in my curls — and in very easy practical ways that don't require an hour of hair styling every morning. Brought my girlfriend in for her birthday. I booked with Ned, and he did an amazing job! He took his time cutting her hair, paid close attention to detail, and taught her how to properly take care of her curls. I didn’t even know it was possible for my hair to look like this. Not to mention I was able to push it a week before needing a full wash again. Ned was amazing, and provided instructions every step of the way, including the types of products needed to achieve styling. I am still figuring out how to recreate the look myself which is a testament to this team really knowing how to handle curly hair. I will definitely be back! Thank you Ned!

I went to Crown Curls after learning they teach how to style curly hair. I was testing out different products and techniques by myself and didn’t feel like it was doing much for my hair. There was always some frizz and undefined pieces which bothered me. I booked with Ned and we did a thorough consult and I explained what result I was looking for (elongated, frizz free curls). Ned tailored the session to my hair and educated me through each step so I could recreate the look at home. Ned also addressed concerns which were tied into the products I was using and explained what products would work best for me. My hair after my appointment lasted 5 days and I never have seen my curls be this curly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is in the area or anyone wanting to learn how to style their natural hair.
